Conditions

ALL visitors wishing to enter the Republic of Sierra Leone must OBTAIN THE APPROPRIATE VISA to enable them to enter the country. Citizens of the West African Economic Community (ECOWAS) are exempted from this requirement and do not need VISA OR ENTRY PERMIT to enter Sierra Leone.
Non citizens of ECOWAS countries must OBTAIN VISA IN ADVANCE from a Sierra Leone Embassy, High Commission or Consulate.

Visa Application Form

All applicants are requested to complete an application form and provide one passport sized photograph and a valid passport for not less than six months.
The Consular office operates between:
10.00 am - 1.00 pm for submission and 2.30 pm - 3.30 pm for collections on Mondays - Thursdays and 10.00 am - 1.00 pm on Fridays, for submission and collections.

A letter of invitation should accompany requests for visitor's visa, which must include details of accommodation.

A business visa request should be made with a letter of invitation from the business contact in Sierra Leone and must include details of accommodation.

Please note that cash payments will no longer be accepted. All payments must be done thru ING Bank Account Number :

* For visas and Emergency Travel Certificates - IBAN N°: BE18 3630 3488 3765 (363-0348837-65).
* For attestations - IBAN N°: BE35 3100 6546 0437 (310-0654604-37).

Receipt of payment must be submitted to the Reception together with all the required documents.

A registered stamped addressed envelope must be supplied for visas applied for by post to enable the Consular office to return the passport. The Embassy will not be responsible for any loss of passport by post.

Approved consular request takes a minimum of three working days before collection.

** Fees for rejected visa applications are non-refundable **
